The rightly demanding and precise oil and gas industries provide a wide range of challenges for the Acoustica range of products and systems including elevated air temperatures, some extremes of pressure and velocity and often saline environments and / or extreme weather conditions.

Tasked with reducing excessive noise levels to 80dB(A) on the main deck area, from a process fan noise source Acoustica provided a detailed acoustic analysis proving that the requirement was for a specifically designed high performance low frequency  splitter rectangular silencer.

Speed of response is often critical in offshore applications and Acoustica have a full understanding of the implications of time losing delays, therefore from the initial enquiry Acoustica provided certified calculations, working drawings, installation and maintenance recommendations together with method statements and risk assessments all within 48 hrs.

The fully welded silencers complete with removable splitter elements were manufactured from fully certified and traceable 6mm 316L stainless steel including 70 x70 x 10mm 316L Stainless Steel drilled  RSA connection flanges and was successfully deployed offshore within two weeks of order placement. The products were supplied with welded on engraved stainless steel identification tags.
